Cooking Classes

Students will learn about the region, its food and wine and the stories behind the menu they will be creating together. Arrival time is 9:30am at the farmhouse and your class/lunch is completed between 1:30 and 2pm., giving you time to explore the region in the afternoon. The schedule for open classes for the Winter/Spring season will be posted on our website in November.

Included with your class:

• Coffee or tea in the sunny breakfast room
• Hands on cooking class with take home menus
• Lunch in the farmhouse dining room with local beverages

Team Building Workshop

Communications is key when it comes to team building. What better way to develop that skill, than in the kitchen cooking together.

The workshop is a merger of Celebrit Apprentice meets Iron Chef in its format. Employees compete in an appetizer cook off with assigned roles in each group, such as project manager and food stylist. Judging is based on a number of components, including originality, based on ingredients sourced from the "surprise" table. From the kick-off "ice-breaker" exercise to the reception, this two hour workshop is a unique way to build your team and have a fun afternoon together.

If you need a great space for a business meeting in the morning ... look no further. Huff Estates Inn has a large boardroom overlooking the winery. Have your meeting and a light lunch and make your way to your team building workshop for 1:30pm. We are located just 10 minutes from the Inn.

Couples Package

A special day has been created for two. Enjoy a private cooking lesson and day exploring the County with Cynthia. Pick your theme and date and then the adventure begins! (approximately 9am to 4pm)

This package includes:

• Traveling together to tour selected food producers and gather the ingredients for your class
• Customized menu will be created for your cooking class with lunch
• Following lunch, Cynthia will take you to visit and enjoy tastings at 2-3 Wineries
• You will return back to your accommodations by approximately 4pm.
• A From the Farm Jute Shopping Bag is also included for your food and wine purchases of the day!

At L'Auberge we're not shy about sharing our secrets. If you've ever wondered what it takes to create some of our classic French dishes, then why not sign up for one of our private classes. Class begins at 7pm and runs for the evening. Our Cooking Classes includes the class, meal, and beverages (wine). We also offer Private Cooking Classes to larger groups.

Prince Edward County Wine and Culinary Tours will pick you up at your hotel, B&B, motel, camp ground, or the Chamber of Commerce and take you on a tour of 4 wineries in 'The County,' complete with tastings and then treat you to a great lunch! Packages start at $95.00 per person including all tax. Tours for Bus Groups available at a negotiated price!

Take a helicopter winery tour. Breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime tours of Prince Edward County are available for day trips or overnight stays; experience Prince Edward County in a way that can only be done by helicopter. If you are limited on time and would like to turn a full day excursion into a couple of hours without limiting the experience, let us take you to Prince Edward County in style. We have partnered with one of Prince Edward County's finest wineries, Huff Estates. Located near Bloomfield, Ontario, you will depart Kingston Airport and arrive at Huff Estates' private helicopter pad in about 18 minutes. From there you will enjoy a tour of the winery, wine tastings and a light meal. Right next door to the winery you will also be able to visit the Oeno Gallery which represents over fifty exceptional artists and has just opened a 3.5 acre outdoor sculpture garden. Overnight stays are available but we suggest you book well in advance. Every winery tour concludes with an aerial tour over the City of Kingston where you'll get to see Old Fort Henry, Kingston's Royal Military College, as well as all the other beautiful views this waterfront city has to offer.
